The IBEROSTAR Purchase Policy is aimed at laying the foundations for business relations between suppliers and collaborators, and hotels and companies in the sector, so that they can purchase goods and/or services under the best terms available on the market. In its relations with suppliers, Iberostar will give objective priority to and weigh the following characteristics of products/services:

Quality.
National and international geographical coverage.
Level of service: types of delivery and delivery times.
Integrity and financial accountability.
Technical and productive capacity.
Type of industry: manufacturer, importer, exporter, distributor, installer, provider of technical services.
Quality certifications.
Environmental certifications.
Health and other certifications.
Certification of the Special Employment Office and/or compliance with LISMI (Disability Law).
Price of product/service.

The IBEROSTAR Purchase Website will be the gateway for suppliers, channelling relations with hotels and departments and thus guaranteeing processes based on objectivity, transparency and non discrimination.

Procurement Procedures

As a rule, all IBEROSTAR procurement procedures begin with a Campaign Start Notification sent to all the approved suppliers with the required profile. In addition, they will get one or more e-notifications that they have been invited to the campaign start, tender or bidding and they must validate their tax and business information so that their companies’ data are entered correctly. Suppliers must keep such information up to date. Later, they will be able to make their proposals following the standards set forth by IBEROSTAR.

Once all the proposals have been made, the Procurement Department will launch negotiation rounds with those suppliers that have offered the best terms until a final procurement agreement is made. This means that, in order to take part in IBEROSTAR’s procurement processes, you must be an approved supplier and your company has to appear in the IBEROSTAR Suppliers Directory.
